It is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. I tell my patients to take a couple of paracetamol with their medication to avoid the headache. Q THERE is a horrible yellow substance building up between my teeth. I brush twice a day and floss but it still doesn't get rid of it. A home bleaching kit just made it more obvious. I am too scared to go to a dentist. A IT is probably tartar, a common build-up of hard plaque. It is usually due to a misalignment of your teeth. Flossing and brushing regularly are good but you must visit the dentist for a scrape and polish to get rid of it. You should go every six months for a check-up anyway. I used to be scared of the dentist too but found a great one who explained everything he was doing and really put me at ease. Ask yours to do the same - your smile will thank you for it! Q MY boyfriend had an operation to remove a pilonidal sinus. He has been in hospital lying face down for weeks now while he recovers and is getting really frustrated. Is it normal for the recovery period to take this long? A A PILONIDAL sinus is a very painful condition. It is caused by an ingrowing hair in the cleft of the buttocks that causes a hole or sinus. If the cancer spreads to other parts of the body (metastasizes), 5-year survival rates drop to 33 percent.External Radiation Therapy for Prostate CancerIn external beam radiation, high doses of X-ray energy are aimed at the prost... All that's on TV is sex, murder, drugs, police and idiots who call themselves comedians but don't know the meaning. Never cared for commercials, but it paid the stations' bills in the old days. Now they rip everyone off for a monthly fee plus pay for the Prozac crowd. Anyway, thanks for putting up with the beef. AAAAHHH - the good old days look better even though they weren't perfect." CATCHING ON? But a note from Pat Freiberger, Ocala, was the most encouraging of the lot. She wrote, "Charlie Gibson on the 6:30 ABC-TV News has announced that one commercial will be presented during air time; what a relief! Glad to know someone is getting wise and making an attempt to show some care for the public and keeping limits on commercials."Pat, I think ABC was limiting sponsorship to one advertiser, not necessarily one commercial last Tuesday. However, on Wednesday, I see they were back to multiple sponsors and multiple commercials! Send comments to BITS@ocala.com. Include your FULL name and town.
