Erectile dysfunction: French women are not well informed... As Dr Marie-Hélène Colson, Director of Sexology Education at the Marseilles and Montpellier Faculties of Medicine, points out, “this study reveals that below the age of 35 women favour communication and taking an active attitude to sexual problems. Beyond the age of 50, however, they seem more reserved about discussing this with their partner and also poorly informed about the therapeutic options available”. In fact, almost one woman in two states that she has never heard of medication specifically for the treatment of By contrast, in Latin America 85% of women know of the existence of these treatments. And the majority (56%) acknowledge their effectiveness, whereas in France they are not really considered as medication in their own right but are destined for use as treatments for actual diseases.
